Dental Care @ Southport supports oral health of teenagers through the teen dental plan

Where we can, Dental Care @ Southport likes to support the government in their effort to improve the oral health of Australian residents.
Currently, we are working with the teenagers between 12-17 years old through the Teen Dental Plan. The Teen Dental Plan give eligible families* access to a benefit of $165.00 to help with any preventative dental treatment they may need.
This preventative appointment will begin with a Full Comprehensive Dental Exam, so you can find out exactly what’s going on in your child’s mouth. If necessary, our dentists may:

• take x-rays
• provide a scale and clean
• provide a fluoride treatment
• give oral hygiene instructions
• provide advice about diet
• seal pits or cracks in a tooth (fissure sealing).

As Dental Care @ Southport believes ‘prevention is better that a cure’ we would like to offer our additional support for these families. As such, we are happy to extend the same reduced price treatment to other, non-eligible, children and young adults in theses family.
